Booking a tattoo shouldn't feel like a job interview
You DM a studio. You wait three days. You still don't know the price. You get handed to whoever's free, and on the day you feel like a number on a conveyor belt. That's not how I work.
A piece drawn for you, built to last
You walk out with a tattoo drawn for you, placed to suit your body, and designed to still look sharp in ten years. You know the price before you sit. You chat to me directly the whole way. Most of my clients come back for another one.
How booking works
- 1
Tell me your idea.
Style, placement, size and a few references if you have them. It takes about two minutes.
- 2
Secure your date.
A R1,000 deposit locks in your session and comes straight off your final price. Pay the rest upfront, or in 4 with Payflex using a link I send you on WhatsApp.
- 3
We chat on WhatsApp.
I come back to you personally with a plan and a time estimate. On the day you approve your design, then we get to work.
One artist, start to finish.
From your first message to the final wipe-down, it's me. No front desk, no hand-offs.
Designed to age well.
If something in your idea won't hold up over time, I'll tell you and adjust it before we start.
An experience, not a production line.
No earphones, no rushing. You're the only client in my chair.
Trained under Ricardo Da Silva Cunha (Rick Ink), co-founder of Descriptive Art Collective.
What I tattoo

Neo-traditional
Bold lines, soft shading, optional colour. The style I love most.

Black and grey realism
Depth, texture and contrast that ages well.

Geometric
Sacred geometry and pattern work, on its own or woven into larger pieces.
Cover-ups and reworks welcome. Just mention it in the form.
Creative freedom session
Pick the subject and placement, and let me design it in my neo-traditional style. You get a one-off piece at a better rate, and I get to make the kind of work I love.
R4,000 full day. R2,500 half day.

The questions everyone asks
How long will it take?
I'll give you an honest time estimate on WhatsApp before you book. Bigger pieces can take more than one session, and I'll tell you upfront.
Will it hurt?
Honestly, a bit. That's part of earning it. Some spots are more sensitive than others, and if you need it I can use a numbing spray during the session that won't affect the result. Please don't put numbing cream on before you come in.
Is it clean?
Single-use needles, medical waste disposed of properly, and a studio our reviews call spotless. You're welcome to see for yourself.
Will it still look good in ten years?
That's why I check every design for longevity first. If your idea needs adjusting to age well, I'll tell you why.
It's my first tattoo and I'm nervous.
Good, tell me in the form. I'll talk you through everything and we'll go at your pace.
It's a lot of money right now.
You can pay in 4 interest-free with Payflex. Just tell me in the form or on WhatsApp and I'll send you a link.
Is the deposit refundable?
Your R1,000 comes off your final price. Need to move your date? Give me 48 hours' notice. Life happens, so message me and we'll sort it out.
Can I see the design before I book?
We'll talk through your idea on WhatsApp. The final design is revealed and approved on the day, before we start.
Where are you, and where do I park?
Descriptive Art Collective, 49 Suikerbos Way, Durbanville. Turn into the property and there's plenty of parking right in front of the studio. Please don't park or walk in the road.
What days do you work?
Monday to Friday. Special events like Flash Day can fall on a Saturday.
How old do I need to be?
18 or older, with ID.
Do you do small tattoos?
My minimum is R1,500, which includes your custom design. For something quicker, come to Flash Day.
"You approve your design on the day before a single line goes down. If something isn't right, we fix it first. And if your tattoo heals patchy, your touch-up is on me."
Let's get yours on the calendar
